ACS: Interaction Nodes Explainer

Based on the diagram above and moving from left to right

Play Announcement

This node will play a specified announcement to the
caller. The announcement to be played must be specified in the node data. The node
data is entered in the ACS in the Configure Play Announcement screen.

IP HUB has created various announcement sets, but customers can also create
their own using the items contained within the announcement set.

Selection Dependent Routing (Network IVR)

This allows a caller a degree of control over the final destination to which the call can be routed. This node allows callers to be played an announcement and enter a response. The expected response in this node is a single digit entered on the caller's telephone keypad. Digits can be mapped to a single exit from the node, although several digits may be routed to the same exit.

PIN Authorisation

This node checks that there is a PIN in the PIN buffer. If there is none there, it prompts the user to enter their PIN and places the received digits in the PIN buffer. It then checks that the PIN is correct. If it is
not, then it prompts for PIN entry (maximum of ten times).

Account Code Entry

The Account Code entry node prompts for an account number and PIN to be entered and collects the digits.
